     NAME
          examine - examine pixel values interactively

     SYNOPSIS
          fb/examine [ input ]

     DESCRIPTION
          Examine displays an approximation of its argument picture
          file (default standard input) in the middle of the screen or
          window and waits for mouse input.  Button 1 selects pixels,
          whose coordinates and values are written to standard output.
          Button 2 refreshes the display, which can be overwritten by
          examine's output.  Button 3 exits.

     BUGS
          For compatibility with other programs, buttons 2 and 3
          should pop up menus.  But single-item menus are silly, and
          it's too much to have two of them.
