     NAME
          update - flush graphics

     SYNOPSIS
          update

     DESCRIPTION
          Changes made via Tk commands do not become visible until a
          call to update.  Update flushes any pending changes to the
          screen.

     BUGS
          Changes that affect window sizes are visible immediately;
          flush cannot help here.
